We are honoured to have been selected by the Royal College of Art to provide the promotional postcard printing services for their annual graduate show, and we are pleased that this partnership has continued into its fourth year. Show RCA is a free multi-site exhibition for visitors to explore the very best of emerging contemporary art and design created by the RCA’s postgraduate students. Much of the work is for sale or commission and ranges from paintings to prints, glassware to jewellery and furniture to textiles.
Each year, we provide a template for the graduating artists to submit their designs to the print and promotions team, and we use our litho-comparable HP Indigo digital printing press to reproduce a series of postcards depicting their artwork. The project has grown year-on-year, and in 2018 we printed 200 copies of 730 designs for an impressive total of 146,000 postcards.
Our print department’s expertise and our state-of-the-art printing facility, LEAP Woolwich, ensures that each postcard preserves the vibrancy and detail of the original piece of work. The graduating art students then use these as promotional postcards, showcasing their work during the exhibition and to launch their art and design careers upon completion of their degrees.
