Live events are back, and we’re thrilled to say that includes the UKMVAs. The UK Music Video Awards return to London’s Roundhouse on 4 November 2021 for the premier celebration of global music video production and music filmmaking talent. LEAP’s Film and Post team have been post-production partners with the UKMVAs from the very beginning, back in 2008.
We are delighted to play our part in honouring the creative people behind the artform – directors, producers, cinematographers, production designers, choreographers, colourists, editors, animators and VFX artists as well as commissioners and agents – all voted for by professionals within the industry. This year, LEAP sponsors the Visual Effects category, and we extend our congratulations to all the shortlisted nominees.
The UK MVAs get bigger and better every year and we’re excited for their return as a live in-person event at the iconic Roundhouse. Working closely with the UKMVA team and art directors StudioThomson, our motion graphics editors created the video packages and opening montage for projection onto the big screens. With nearly forty categories and six nominations in each, that’s a lot of fantastic content!
LEAP Head of Moving Image, Tony Chamberlain says,
We’re so glad to have the MVAs back with us at LEAP. The standard of entries is outstanding, and it’s one of the editing projects we especially look forward to each year.
LEAP’s expansion of post-production resources has bolstered our capacity for a range of high volume and quick turnaround projects. For more than a decade we have been providing brands such as LVMH and Clarins with localisation, versioning, and delivery services for the release of commercials in the UK. More recently, we have extended our services to Amazon Prime Video to localise movie and TV series trailers for international audiences.
Tony adds,
The ever-increasing rise in short form and reversioning projects that have been coming through LEAP has made the UKMVAs a natural fit for the expertise of our Film and Post team.
LEAP’s investment in secure virtual server technology, producer-managed editing workflows and a growing team ensures the post-production process runs smoothly and no spoilers get released.
Tony says,
We enjoy the creative collaboration with the UKMVA team. We look forward to celebrating the brilliant music video filmmaking talent at this year’s awards.
