One of the impacts of the pandemic has been a reduction in high street footfall, so the 2020 Clarins Christmas campaign includes a call to action which encourages online shopping and consultations through Clarins’ Virtual Boutique. Indeed, LEAP was able to respond quickly to shifting local market conditions. When the UK government announced the second national lockdown, it was just two days before the campaign’s delivery due date. Our dedicated account managers were able to promptly organise changes to the call to action. Motion graphics editors removed references to in-store shopping, and the team obtained broadcast clearance for the revised ad in time for the media plan deadlines.
In response to the increased emphasis on online marketing, the brand owners also commissioned LEAP’s editors to adapt the master creative into a series of social media ads for a range of platforms. The whimsical campaign has launched across TV, BVOD and social channels.
