Website Refreshing for John Lewis
Being able to easily navigate around an engaging, lively careers website is vital to inspiring potential new talent to want to join your team; which is why we recently helped John Lewis to review and refresh their recruitment site in the lead up to their peak period before Christmas. Website users have notoriously high expectations when it comes to website functionality, and any pain points can result, along with the website being a poor reflection of the brand, in losing prospective talent along the way. As part of their wider recruitment strategy, they looked to us to finesse their current website to ensure they could find the right talent for a successful peak seasonal period.
We’ve worked to ensure that the John Lewis Partnership careers website provides a smooth user experience which moves visitors around their most important landing pages with ease. After reviewing the current user journeys around key pages, as well as the navigation menu, we suggested and implemented a number of changes to ensure a smoother overall experience. This includes simplifying the journey through to key information, refining search functionality with regards to the listings, bringing in stronger calls to action and highlighting appropriate conversion content in the design. We also reviewed and amended the design to enable them to highlight key positions at peak times on the homepage, with relevant design elements to reflect the seasonality of the position (e.g. snow at Christmas).
