In advance of the World Congress of Accountants, LEAP worked closely with CIMA (the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) in devising and producing two groundbreaking brand films for their esteemed organisation.
Partnering with their American counterparts, the AICPA, CIMA are extending their global reach, and have chosen to work closely with our Film and Post team in developing films that reflect their forward-thinking approach to technology, recruitment and brand perception. Director Darren Statman developed the film concepts in conjunction with our producers, creative directors, and CIMA’s Head of Marketing.
The first of these films, ‘Who We Are’, is based on three characters demonstrating passion, integrity, expertise and achievement in personal pursuits, which also clearly reflect the core values held by CIMA. The film is pitched at a global market of existing, and prospective members. Our Language and Culture team, through regional research, accessed a list of characters and their pursuits, finally settling on cellist, boxer and skateboarder.
Following on from the successful collaboration with Director Darren Statman on our Bentley films, LEAP’s Film and Post team again collaborated to shoot both brand films for CIMA and CGMA. The Film and Post team provided all the project management and post-production throughout.
The films were shot on an Arri Amira at speeds up to 200fps, providing plenty of opportunity to achieve dramatic slow-motion sequences, whilst allowing our colourist great scope to create a strong and dramatic grade. These films were premiered at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica in Rome, an event attended by Pope Francis.
Following the successful premiere, CIMA commissioned further adaptations of ‘Who We Are’ for their regional offices which our film and languages teams jointly produced. Project managers arranged for script translations, casting and recording in the UK and local markets for Russian, South African, Mandarin and Cantonese. The London-based post producers handled audio mixes and master delivery files for use in local markets including presentations, online and even cinema trailers.
