For financial services company NewDay, the annual Hackathon is hailed by participants as an awesome experience and even a career highlight. #HackEight brings together eight teams of developers, project managers, software engineers, data scientists and other NewDay personnel for a week of innovation, design, and creative thinking.
To help transform 2021’s event into an immersive experience, reconnecting staff from their London and Leeds offices at the St. Albans hotel where it was held, NewDay needed a hackathon brand design with printed collateral (as well as the occasional encouraging message from spirit animal team mascots).
LEAP’s managed creative production studio within NewDay worked with internal stakeholders to quickly develop creative assets including logos, posters, banners, welcome packs, how-to guides and information cards. The strong client-creative team relationship facilitated the exchange of ideas and the process of refining designs.
Another advantage of LEAP’s managed creative production studio within NewDay is the ease with which it can call upon the wider LEAP organisation for support with additional services. LEAP’s Print and Promotions team worked with the LEAP NewDay design team to produce and install large scale prints for tensile fabric system displays and posters in their offices as well as smaller printed items including information cards, concertina-fold guidebooks, spirit animal introduction cards, and even winners’ roundels to celebrate a successful hackathon.
LEAP was pleased to support the NewDay hackathon participants get together to ‘turn what if into why not.’
