The Drum Deep Dives: Gaming

According to Accenture, there were 2.7 billion people playing in 2021, 500 million of whom took up gaming in the past three years. Responsible for $200bn in direct spend, the industry also influences another $100bn of indirect revenue. And while mobile gaming has been the biggest driver of revenue, driving companies such as Netflix to launch their own titles, it is gaming’s social dimension that is pushing industry growth to the next level. This event will be going deep on everything from immersive experiences to the integration of NFTs and blockchain into games, esports, influencers and everything else marketers need to know to hone their gaming strategies.
